Galifianakis Embarassed By Downey, Jr.
14 October 2010 9:16 AM, WENN
Zach Galifianakis was left red-faced on the set of his new movie Due Date after his co-star Robert Downey, Jr. told him he "needed acting classes" in front of the whole crew.
The funnyman has teamed up with the Iron Man star for the new road trip comedy, which tells the story of an expectant father teamed with an unlikely travelling companion as he races to be by his
wife's side for the birth.
The movie, which see Galifianakis re-team with The Hangover director Todd Phillips, has seen the two actors joke around and play pranks on each other as they film the comedy moments.
And Galifianakis admits Downey, Jr. caught him out by embarassing him in front of their colleagues.
He tells Vanity Fair magazine, "He told me in front of 45 extras that I needed acting classes," adding, "I like to call him ‘another Irish mistake'."
Robert Downey Jr. wishes
to have a daughter with Susan
October 15th, 2010
London, Oct 15 – Hollywood actor Robert Downey Jr. is planning to start a family with wife Susan within the next two years and wishes to have a daughter.
The “Iron Man” star, who has a teenage son Indio from his previous marriage to actress Deborah Falconer, is keen to become a father again, reports
contactmusic.com.
“I think we should probably try to have a girl because I don’t want my son Indio to feel there’s another boy in my life,” he said.
“I think I will be wrist-deep in doo-doo within 18 months, I’m calling it, right here,” he added.
Do you wish MGM's classic version of 'The Wizard of Oz' was a little more adult? No, in fact that's what people criticized so much about 'Return to Oz,' that it
wasn't appropriate for kids. But it's been 25 years since Disney scared children with Wheelers and decapitated heads and now it's time for the same studio to return to Oz with a filmmaker with a
horror background and a trip to L. Frank Baum's universe that's possibly even darker, and also much sexier. Sam Raimi, who was recently confirmed as the director for the "prequel"/origin story
'Oz: The Great and Powerful,' is expected to give us a little infidelity in the real world and then a lot of seduction in the land of munchkins and witches.
According to Pajiba, who has heard some details about Mitchell Kapner's script, the titular wizard-to-be (Robert Downey Jr.) will end up over the rainbow via hot
air balloon because he's escaping an angry husband after bedding the guy's wife. Then, this irresistible lover/salesman/magician starts breaking the hearts of Oz ladies, too, particularly the
good witch Theodora. She turns evil as a result, with influence from a truly bad witch named Evanora. Meanwhile, the young wizard and Glinda -- the good witch we know from 'The Wizard of Oz' --
hook up. And eventually they battle the two evil witches, who are out to take over their world.
It's true, a porn version of this movie shouldn't be too difficult, by the sound of it. Also, it seems like it could potentially ruin the intentions for Warner
Bros.'s dark 'Oz' movie based on or somehow inspired by Todd McFarlane's 'Twisted Land of Oz' toys. Theodora is described as an "incredibly attractive" witch who wears thigh-high boots, which
calls to mind the comic artist's S&M-like re-imaginings of Dorothy and friends. Of course, it's unlikely Disney's latest 'Oz' will be anywhere close to being R-rated, and it is possible to
envision how a story involving so much sex could be toned down for the kids.
Sam Raimi’s
‘Oz, the Great and Powerful’ to Be a Provocative Film?
By Gig Patta on October 16, 2010
Director Sam Raimi plans his next project “Oz, the Great and Powerful,” to be a prequel to “The Wizard of Oz.” And there are rumors that actor Robert Downey, Jr. is
considered for the lead role as The Wizard himself. The current script is being written by Mitchell Kapner.
According to Pajiba, they received an exclusive leak in regards to the storyline of the movie.
Here is what Pajiba wrote:
“We also knew that the movie would focus on a younger wizard, and his origins in the Land of Oz. Thanks to the Hollywood Cog, we now know quite a few details about
Mitchell Kapner’s story, which would have the Wizard — a snake-oil salesman posing as a magician — enter Oz via a hot-air balloon, which he uses to escape an angry husband who has found out that
Oz slept with his wife. There, Oz — a fast-talking huckster who wears a velveteen frock coat (yes, I can see that) — falls in love with Glinda (the Good Witch), and the two combine forces to
Fight the Evil Witches Evanora and Theodora. Theodora starts out as a good witch, but after Oz jilts her sexual advances, Evanora — the truly evil witch — convinces Theodora to become an evil
witch with her and help her to rule all of Oz. Both Evanora and Theodora are described as incredibly attractive, seductive women, and Theodora likes to wear black, thigh-high boots. What is this?
Oz porn?”
After reading Pajiba’s article, it seemed a little far-fetched to be the actual storyline for Disney. And the film will be a PG movie, not an R-rated movie. Don’t
get me wrong—it sounds like a nice twisted movie for both Raimi and Downey. Let’s take this story with a grain of salt for now.
